Wentworth Marriage & Family Therapy is a small clinical group practice located in Yelm Washington that provides mental healthcare services focused on evidenced-based, medically driven treatment services for children, adolescents and adults suffering from a variety of mental health issues in an outpatient care setting, both in-person and through its digital health telemedicine offering. We work to provide a clinically supportive environment for both our employees and most importantly for our clients. 

All Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist’s (LMFT) and/or Licensed Mental Health Counselor’s (LMHC) will offer counseling and mental health services in the marital and family, individual and group context. Services may include evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of mental illness and other psychological issues. The ideal candidate will be motivated to build their caseload, be self-motivated, be collaborative and work well within a team environment. 

• Provided marital and family counseling including relationship, premarital, separation, divorce, and child counseling services.
• Gather and analyze information on family members through a variety of methods that may include observation, interviews, self-report inventories, group discussions, and/or formal assessments.
• Identify problematic behavioral, communication, and relationship patterns.
• Assess and establish a clinical safety plan for clients and families if harm to self or others is present.
• Collaborate with the family and/or individual family members to develop plans to positively manage and respond to issues; assists clients with replacing unhealthy or dysfunctional behaviors with healthy choices.
• Assist clients in developing new or strengthened communication skills and methods.
• Provide expert insight on how family dynamics affect psychological health.
• Diagnose and apply appropriate treatments for psychological disorders. All clinicians must be able to develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with healthcare requirements. 
• Identify and provide appropriate psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and/or the entire family.
• Collaborate with clients to develop post-treatment activity plans.
• Refer clients to specialists for further treatment as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain accurate records regarding case progress, evaluations, and any further treatment recommendations.
• Draft and submit necessary paperwork to insurance companies.
• Maintain compliance with ethical codes and standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to remain calm and reassuring in tense situations and to de-escalate arguments.
• Thorough understanding of human behavior, various behavioral and affective disorders, and the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of these disorders.
• Organizational skills required to manage complex, deadline-driven paperwork including billing and insurance claims.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Thorough understanding of applicable ethical codes and standards. 

•  Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy (or Associate)
• Current state license in Counseling/Marriage & Family Therapy. (or Associate)

• Prolonged periods sitting, listening, and observing or working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
